It might be time to start a scrapbook of my favorite automated, AI-generated cold emails.For real though, I'm guessing this actually works some small % of the time, but nothing makes me respond "unsubscribe" faster than seeing the same opening line from multiple vendors.Be a human. Cold emails are fine if they're authentic.

Ha! Have had the exact same idea myself. To be fair, I do send some cold emails to people who I think we’d be a good creative partner for, so I’ve done some swimming in those waters, but they’re always personalised and (hopefully) relevant to the person they’re sent to. Those spammy pseudo-personalised spray-and-pray emails boggle my mind too. Like you say, it must work for them some of the time otherwise they wouldn’t exist.

Heading to #gdc next week is extra special for Ryan Filsinger 🔜 GDC and I because it's kind of our 2nd anniversary. In 2022 we wrapped our jobs on a Friday, published our website on the tarmac and set for #sfo the following Monday in a baptism by fire as fresh minted execs for Iron Fox Games. We didn't have passes but we had chutzpah, doing over 25 meetings in a park, with only 72 hours to get it done because of Covid restrictions at the time.This will be our 3rd trip to GDC as IFG. We're brimming with excitement and gratitude for all of the valuable partnerships, friends, and colleagues who've helped us make it this far. See you Monday. Come wish us a happy anniversary. I think for 2 years it's supposed to be cotton-related, but we're full-up on v-necks as it is.
