Orlando Health brings a vital and always expanding (but very intimate) approach to so many needed health services . I am always so excited to see what they are rolling out!

Iβve been lucky enough to be involved with meals on wheels and this is essentially the same idea . it has so many benefits for the client much of which is centered around the daily contact. It does wonders for their morale and for their safety.

Needed this today! I donβt know about you, but I am tired of being trodden on and used as scapegoat! Do not allow anyone to treat you that way. Know when to walk away

Hi everyone - I have decided to make a career change. Nonprofitβs have changed drastically over my 15 + years working in them. I can no longer see myself in that field. They arenβt held to the same standards as everyone else and they treat employees very poorly. The 1000+ of you that follow me , know that is something I wonβt tolerate and neither should you! I am looking for a new role where I can do what I love which is leading a team to success in any field. I would appreciate your support. With all that said, if you have any leads in any field or other suggestions I am open to everything. I just know it is time for a change. Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer. #OpenToWork

Lately, I havenβt been taking great care of myself. I have a new position at a new Organization, a child on summer vacation, an elderly father on hospice and we are all in the middle of a move from two different homes! It has been a lot and I keep telling myself eventually youβll get time to workout again or cook healthy meals at home, etc. I know this is good advice and I know I need to make time for myself but I just canβt seem to find it right now. Anyone else having a similar issue (no time for your self care)? How are you solving it?

Employees (especially new staff) make mistakes or run into roadblocks or other issues and a great leader will assist through solving problems and then discuss ways to improve the process and find the reason behind the issues in the first place. it isnβt always the employees fault -sometimes it lack of communication or guidance or too many cooks in the kitchen. To be effective and successful, there needs to be more teamwork and less blaming but that starts with listening.

I am cherishing this commentary on what makes for good employers and helps employees be successfulβ¦.βThis explains almost every other difference between great and mediocre employers as well: people who are trusted are more satisfied, more poised, more confident, more easily retained, more successful, and more willing to go the extra mile. All of these are much more likely when built on a foundation of trusting imperfect candidates who are ready to grow and learn quickly.β
