The Rapport System in Lost Ark

The Rapport system in Lost Ark is one of the most important parts of the Rapport guide. The system is introduced to help you get familiar with the world of Lost Ark and its characters and provide you with exciting rewards.

This is the kind of system that you definitely should use, as if you aren’t, then you’re missing out on a lot. Every day, you’re missing out on the opportunity to get your hands on exciting rewards.

Ultimate Rapport Guide for Lost Ark (1)

You can interact with these NPCs and learn more about their story. Upon interacting with an NPC, they will either give you a Rapport Quest or will just talk to you. As you interact with them more and perform specific tasks, which we’ll talk about later, the level of friendship you have with them increases. There are a total of five NPC levels in Lost Ark, which include:

  • Normal
  • Amicable
  • Friendly
  • Trusted
  • Affection

How It Works

The Rapport section can be opened by going to the Adventure Tab from the in-game menu. You can also press ALT+N to open it. The Rapport section lets you see where the Rapport NPCs are located and the kind of rewards you can get by interacting with them. The rewards come in different shapes and sizes, and you’ll also gain a lot of Gold Coins through this system.

You can select different Continents from the Rapport section and see which NPCs are located there. The NPCs will be greyed out until you go and meet them. After you complete a quest for them, they will get unlocked, and you’ll be able to start your Rapport journey with them.

Ultimate Rapport Guide for Lost Ark (2)

As mentioned earlier, the Rapport system follows a level format, and the levels increase as the NPC starts liking you more. To increase the level, you will need to visit the NPC and interact with them. Then, you can either give gifts to them, play instruments, or use emotes.

All three of these will increase the level of friendship you have with the NPC. However, keep in mind that you can only give them 99 gifts, play five instruments, and use five emotes per day for each NPC. This means that it will take a lot of time to reach the max Rapport level with every NPC. Furthermore, you’ll need more Rapport points to get to the next level as you level up. For instance, you will need to hit 600 Rapport points to reach level 2 and then 2000 Rapport points to reach level 2. In other words, the process of leveling up will keep on getting difficult as you climb your way up.

How To Increase Rapport in Lost Ark

Following are the methods through which you can increase Rapport in Lost Ark.

Talk to An NPC

Talking to an NPC is the easiest and the quickest method of gaining Rapport points. This is most likely going to be the first method through which you’ll increase your Rapport with an NPC. When you go to an NPC and interact with them, you’ll engage in a conversation that includes a series of text chats. These text chats are not long and usually end quickly. But when they end, you receive a decent number of Rapport points.

Complete Rapport Quests

Rapport Quests will be given to you by the NPCs. After interacting with an NPC, a Pink exclamation mark (!) will appear on the map. Some of these quests are pretty simple and easy to complete, so you won’t have to worry about spending a lot of time with them. However, while they might be simple and all, they still provide a good amount of Rapport upon completion. Therefore, make sure to complete as many of them as you can.

Use Rapport Songs

The third method of gaining Rapport points involves playing an instrument. When you interact with an NPC, you can see the list of songs they like. If you play it to them, you will receive Rapport points in return. The amount of Rapport you’ll get for each song will depend upon the NPC. However, every NPC will ask you to play a different song, so it’s a must to acquire all of them if you’re planning to build a good relationship with all NPCs.

Ultimate Rapport Guide for Lost Ark (5)

You can see which songs you have unlocked by going to the Sheet Music Menu. This can be opened by pressing F2. It is crucial to get as many songs as possible. Once you have a lot of songs unlocked, you’ll be able to increase your Rapport level with NPCs much more quickly.

Below is the list of songs in Lost Ark along with how you can acquire them.

Using emotes is another fantastic way of increasing Rapport points in Lost Ark. There are a lot of Rapport Emotes in the game that you can unlock and use. Like songs, you can only use five remotes per day with each NPC.

For those who don’t know, each emote will make your character perform a specific type of action or gesture. For instance, one of them can make you blow a kiss, while another one can make you do a wave dance. The primary purpose of these emotes is to provide players the luxury of expressing their emotions to their party members without using text or voice chat.

Ultimate Rapport Guide for Lost Ark (6)

However, in Lost Ark, they can be used to increase Rapport points as well. All you need to do is visit an NPC and use an emote to perform an action in front of them. The amount of Rapport points you’ll get is different for every emote. Furthermore, keep in mind that each NPC will have its own preferred emotes. You can not use every emote with each NPC. Therefore, make sure to acquire all of them to make the process of leveling up easier.

For instance, there is an NPC in the game called Beatrice. She prefers the Pray and Strech emote. The first one will reward you with 275 Rapport points while using the Strech emote will grant you 400 Rapport points.

Give Gifts to NPCs

The best way of gaining Rapport in Lost Ark is by using Rapport Gifts. In fact, out of all the methods we mentioned, this one can help you get the most amount of Rapport points.

As mentioned earlier, giving gifts to NPCs can lead to an increase in the Rapport points. The best part is that unlike songs and emotes, you can give any gift to the NPCs. Although they have their preferred gifts, they still accept whatever you give them.

Ultimate Rapport Guide for Lost Ark (7)

However, if you give them the gifts they have mentioned in their request list, then you’ll receive more Rapport points than you would with a random gift. For instance, there is a gift called Mokoko Carrot. When you select the gift, you’ll see that it has a text saying “Mokamoka would love this.” This indicates that the gift is best suited for Makamoka.

One thing to keep in mind is that you should not give out gifts randomly to NPCs. You should first collect as many gifts as you can, and see whether you have collected preferred gifts of some NPCs or not. Only then you should proceed with handing out gifts to the NPCs. Otherwise, you’ll be missing out on a lot of Rapport points. The total number of gifts you can give to an NPC is limited to 99 per day.

How To Get Rapport Gifts in Lost Ark

Rapport Gifts in Lost Ark can be acquired in various ways. For starts, they are given to you as a reward for completing different quests. As you progress through the story, you’ll keep on adding more and more gifts to your inventory.

Other than that, Rapport Chests are also a good way of acquiring gifts. These chests are also given to you as a reward for completing quests. However, you can also get them as a part of Special Events, Roster Level Rewards, Daily Login Rewards, and so on. And if you have some coins in your pocket, then you can also purchase them from different vendors.

Providence Stones can also be used to purchase Rapport Chests. You can acquire these stones by completing Stronghold Missions, Una Tasks, and even by killing specific enemies. Once you have enough Providence Stones, you can exchange them with Rapport Chests. These chests are filled with gifts that you can give to NPCs.
